Using Catalogs, Swatches and 3D Models
A practical tour of the website tools: product search, quick view, catalogs, the color swatch library, the 3D viewer and language settings.
The Duc Toan website is more than a list of products. It includes printed catalogs you can leaf through, a library of materials and colours, an editor to preview variations and interactive 3D models. This guide shows how to use each tool to explore the collections efficiently.
Finding products
- Products: browse every listed item and filter by category.
- Collections: see pieces that share one design language, from dining to lounge.
- Search: type a product name or SKU to find an item quickly.
- Quick View: open the main details of a product without leaving the grid.
- Recently viewed: return to products you opened earlier on this device.
Reading a catalog
Catalogs reproduce Duc Toan printed catalogs page by page. On a large screen they open as a two-page spread after the cover; on tablets and phones they show one page at a time. You can turn pages with the arrow buttons, the keyboard arrow keys, a swipe or by dragging a page corner, jump to a page number, or pick a page from the thumbnails.
Some catalogs are reserved for partners and ask for a password supplied by Duc Toan. Text printed inside catalog pages is part of the image and stays in its original language.
The color swatch library
Color Swatches gathers the materials and colours used across the website, grouped by family such as wood, metal, rope and fabric. Use the group links to jump to a family, and the Download button on each card to save the swatch image for a mood board. Swatch images are references; confirm a physical sample when colour is important.
Previewing a variation on a photo
On products that support it, the variation editor lets you click a region of the photo, such as the frame or the rope, and apply a material from the library. Hold the compare button to see the original, use zoom to inspect details and save a snapshot to share with colleagues. The preview is a visual simulation, not confirmation that the combination is available.
Exploring a product in 3D
When a 3D model is available, View in 3D opens an interactive viewer. Drag to rotate, scroll or pinch to zoom and use the panel on the right:
- Colors: choose a part of the product and try swatches or a custom colour;
- Scene: change the lighting environment, light strength and viewing angle;
- Details: read the model dimensions and the product specifications.
3D models are best viewed on a recent desktop or tablet browser. Lighting and materials are approximations of the real product.
Variation editor tools at a glance
- Reset: return every region to the original photo.
- Zoom & move: enlarge the photo and move around it to check details such as weaving or wood grain.
- Highlight region: show which areas of the photo can be changed.
- Hold to compare: press and hold to see the original photo, release to return to your choice.
- Save snapshot: save the current preview as an image on your device.
- Switch photo: move to another photo of the same product when more than one is prepared.
A good routine is to choose the frame first, then the rope or fabric, and compare each step with Hold to compare. Save a snapshot of each combination you like so you can compare them later.
Saving and sharing your choices
Snapshots from the variation editor and the 3D viewer are created in your browser and saved directly to your device; they are not uploaded to the website. To share a product, copy the address of its page: product links use a stable ID and work in every language. When you send snapshots to colleagues or to Duc Toan, include the product SKU and the swatch codes you chose, because an image alone does not record those details.
Building a mood board
- Collect product snapshots, downloaded swatches and photos of your own space in one folder or document.
- Label every image with the SKU or swatch code.
- Group options by area, for example dining, lounge and balcony.
- Keep two or three alternatives per area instead of many, to make decisions easier.
Protected catalogs and products
Some catalogs and products are shared only with partners. When you open one, the website asks for the password Duc Toan supplied. After a correct password, access is remembered on that browser for up to 72 hours; after that, or in another browser, you enter it again. A customer account does not replace this password. Please do not forward unlock passwords; ask Duc Toan to give colleagues their own access instead.
If something does not display correctly
- Reload the page and make sure your browser is up to date.
- 3D models need graphics acceleration (WebGL); if the viewer stays blank, try another browser or device.
- Large catalogs and models can take longer on mobile data; a stable Wi-Fi connection helps.
- Some browser extensions block content; try a private window without extensions.
- If a problem continues, contact us with the page address, your device and browser.
Languages
The website is available in English, French, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Spanish and Vietnamese. On your first visit you are asked which language to use; afterwards you can switch at any time with the language buttons in the footer. SKUs, swatch codes and product links stay the same in every language, so they are the safest references to share internationally.
